Detailed itinerary:
Get a feel for the real Tuscany, and step away from the bustle of the city, as you tour the countryside on a 21 speed bike. We’ll meet in the heart of Florence and drive into Tuscany via minivan. Once we’ve arrived at the gathering point, we’ll pick up our bikes, helmets and be on our way! The tour will take you past rolling hillsides, lush groves and vineyards and beautiful farmhouses, all at a leisurely pace, with minivan support ready when you need it. You’ll enjoy a cellar wine tour and tasting and a Tuscan meal, before returning to the gathering point, where you’ll board the minivan back to the city. This is a great, and green, way to enjoy your time in Italy!
General conditions:
Difficulty level: moderately difficult;
Mileage: 15 miles round trip;
Terrain conditions: mostly paved back roads with very little traffic;
Maximum 25 participants escorted by a bilingual tour guide. Only in case of heavy rain the tour will not operate. This will be decided upon departure and customers are asked to check in at the meeting point in any case, in order to claim reimbursement. Should heavy rain happen during the tour, minivan support will be provided. Beware that weather in Florence might differ from the situation in the country side.
